Position Name: The Visiting Scientist Program (FOR RECENT GRADS)
Description: Among the current needs is in soils (but also geology or botany) with some proficiency in GIS. The program is currently conducting some research in the applications of spatial soil data to augment forensic reports. As such interest and familiarity with environmental science is needed and some intermediate capabilities in GIS. The participants in the Visiting Scientist Program must be US citizens and be able to undergo a background investigation to get a top secret clearance. Because of lengthy time to conduct a background investigation, candidates should apply for this position 6 to 12 months in advance of when they would like to start.

Typically participants in the Visiting Scientist Program are offered one year appointments, but this may be renewed, contingent upon performance and funding availability, for up to four years.
